3-Way Stop at Walton & Indian River Drive

Last week's Informal SLC Commissioner's Meeting included a discussion of a proposed pilot program to make the intersection of Walton Road and Indian River Drive a 3-way stop.  I shared with them copies of our July survey, which identified specific concerns about IRD safety and driver behaviors. 

• SLC's Public Works staff would install additional stop signs on Indian River Drive

• Solar-panel flash signs would also be installed before the intersection, warning motorists about the new stop signs

• This piIot program could begin as early as December 2019
